Leicester Assessment Centre is a fully-equipped DSA-QAG accredited outreach assessment centre with appointments for needs assessments available within the next 2-3 days. The centre is located in the Phoenix Yard, a short walk from the train station and close to both Leicester and De Montfort Universities.
At the centre we provide DSA needs assessments for any student at university, or due to start at university, who has applied for Disabled Student’s Allowances (DSA).

The entrance to the building is under the brick archway. The main door is on the left. You need to press the buzzer for The Learning Support Centre. Once the door is opened, take the stairs or the lift to the first floor. Turn right out of the lift/at the top of the stairs and go through the door leading outside that has a Contact Associates sign and Fire Exit/Keep Clear on it. This takes you across a short walkway to our main office door which also has Fire Exit/Keep Clear on it.
Go through to the reception desk and ask for Contact Associates, where our assessor will come to meet you.
If driving to the centre, please use the postcode LE1 5TE to search online for the best route for you.
The nearest car park is opposite Phoenix Yard (Upper Brown Street Car Park), although this does not have disabled parking. However, the NCP Car Park on Newarke Street is a minute’s walk from the Phoenix Yard and has disabled parking available.
Leicester train station is approximately 15 minutes walk from the centre.
