Preston Assessment Centre
Preston DSA Assessment Centre is a DSA-QAG accredited outreach assessment centre with appointments for needs assessments available within the next 2-3 days. The centre is located at Marshall House, on Lawson Street, and can be easily accessed by train and car.
At the centre we provide DSA needs assessments for any student at university, or due to start at university, who has applied for Disabled Student’s Allowances (DSA).
- Assessments are usually available within the next 2-3 days.
- We can offer assessments from Monday to Friday; 10am to 4pm.
- Nearby parking available at Market Hall Car Park.
- Preston train station is a 10-minute walk away.

The Preston Assessment Centre is located in Marshall House on Lawson Street, which is a 10 minute walk from the train station and 12 minutes from the University of Central Lancashire.
From the train station, proceed onto Butler Street and turn left towards Fishergate. With the Old Vic public house in front of you, turn right and then immediately left onto Corporation Street. Proceed along this road for approximately 150 metres and then turn right onto the Ring Way (A59). Walk along the Ring Way for approximately 375 metres and just after Kwik Fit on the left-hand side, you will see Marshall House.
From the Students Union at the University, turn left onto Fylde Road (A583)and cross the Adelphi Quarter onto Walker Street. Stay on Walker Street for approximately 250 metres and then turn right onto Lawson Street at the mini roundabout. Walk to the end of Lawson Street and Marshall House is on the right-hand side.
If driving to the centre, use the postcode PR1 2HB to search online for the best route for you. This is the postcode for the car park on Market Street which is just behind Marshall House.
On arrival at Marshall House, please dial “Suite 51” on the intercom and the assessor will let you in.
