Centre Info

Scarborough DSA Assessment Centre is a DSA-QAG accredited outreach assessment centre with appointments for needs assessments available within the next 2-3 days. The centre is located approximately a 10 minute walk from the Scarborough train station.

At the centre we provide DSA needs assessments for any student at university, or due to start at university, who has applied for Disabled Student’s Allowances (DSA).

Centre facilities:

  • Assessments are usually available within the next 2-3 days
  • We can offer assessments from Monday to Friday; 10am to 4pm
  • Pay and display parking nearby
  • Scarborough train station is a 10 minute walk away

Car Travel and Parking
Scarborough Borough Council run Park & Ride from both the A64 (from York) & A165 (from Hull). There are several town centre car parks – the nearest being the Palm Court Hotel pay & display. There is also nearby on-street metered parking on The Crescent, Valley Road or lower Ramshill Road. This is in addition to disabled parking outside the offices.

Walking Directions from the train station
On exiting the training station (taxi rank exit) turn right and cross the road at the set of traffic lights, after crossing the road turn right, you will follow the main road A165 (Valley bridge road) for approx. 50 meters and the path will bear left onto Somerset Terrace. Follow Somerset terrace for 150 meters, take your second right onto the crescent, the crescent is a circular road – follow the road to the right and we are in Woodend, next to Scarborough art gallery.

Train Travel
The venue is a 10 minute walk from Scarborough station, or a short taxi ride from the rank outside the main station building.

Coach and Bus Travel
National and regional coach operators run services to and from Scarborough.
