Centre Info

Sheffield DSA Assessment Centre is a DSA-QAG accredited outreach assessment centre with appointments for needs assessments available within the next 2-3 days. The centre is based within The Balance, an office building on Pinfold Street in central Sheffield and can be easily accessed by train and car.

At the centre we provide DSA needs assessments for any student at university, or due to start at university, who has applied for Disabled Student’s Allowances (DSA).

Centre facilities:

  • Assessments are usually available within the next 2-3 days.
  • We can offer assessments Monday to Friday; 10am to 4pm.
  • On-site parking available

Sheffield DSA Assessment Centre is based within The Balance, an office building on Pinfold Street in central Sheffield. On arrival at the building, report to the main building reception on the ground floor and tell them you are there to see Contact Associates on the 7th floor in the Regus office. They will give you a visitor’s badge.

If you wish to be met at the main reception on the ground floor, please ask the receptionist to phone the Regus reception and request that the assessor comes down and meet you.

If you wish to make your own way up to the centre, you can take the lift or the stairs up to the 7th floor. The reception on this floor is to the left of the lift area and in front of the stair well. You can use your visitor’s badge to get through the door – hold the badge up to the access panel on the left of the door and it will beep to unlock the door. Reception can also let you in. Once at this reception, tell them that you are there to see Contact Associates and they will arrange for the assessor will come and meet you.

By Road:
From Sheffield Train Station Car Park Head west on Turner St toward Suffolk Rd/A61 Turn left onto Suffolk Rd/A61.

Turn right onto St. Mary’s Rd/A61 Continue to follow A61.

Go through 2 roundabouts.

At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Brook Hill/B6539 Continue to follow B6539

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Townhead Street.

Slight right onto Leopold Street.

Turn right onto Pinfold St Destination will be on the right – Pinfold Street.
Car Parking
The nearest blue badge parking is at the side of the City Hall near Barkers Pool.

By Public Transport:

West Street, City Hall, and Cathedral Stations are all within a 5-10 min walk

By Foot:

From Sheffield Train station head west on Sheffield Station Bridge toward Sheaf St/A61
Slight right onto Sheaf Square
Continue onto Howard St
Slight right onto Hallam Square
Turn left toward Surrey St
